Pinned that.....Made This

DIY found on Pinterest

I've had the same knife block since my Sophomore year at Clemson. The knives are not very sharp, however the paint sample at Lowe's was only $2 and of course I already had the rhinestones so after seeing the post on Pinterest, I had to try it!

Looks GREAT! I'm searching for what type of paint people are using on this project... could I use my acrylic paints and seal it with a clear acrylic high gloss coating spray I have?

I'm also curious about the monogram... any ideas? I don't have any scrapbooking machine that makes those.

Consider yourself "PINNED" LOL

Suggestions for the monogram if you don't have a Cricuit machine??

For the paint: I used Satin Valspar and sanded it on the edges to let the natural wood shine through. I then covered it with a clear coat to seal it.

For the monogram: I found a pretty clip art that I liked on "Google Images", printed it on cardstock paper, and cut it out with an exacto knife. From there you can use it just like a stencil.

Thanks for your comments!! :)
